I guess I have always been a collector, as a young boy I remember spending days collecting empty pop bottles, not to buy candy or cookies like all the other neighborhood kids, but to buy baseball cards, every pack came with a checklist and I just could not rest until I had an "x" next to every name on those cards.
Well, about forty years later I still have that obsession, if they make more than one I want them all. Although this might seem a bit frivolous, let me assure you; altough our collection is quite immense, it has taken many years to complete and has taken  a back seat to many of life's other gifts. As a single father collecting was an amazing way to bond with my children, we would spend weeekend after weekend searching flea markets, toys stores and yard sales for figures we needed. We would also travel to comic or sci-fi conventions to complete series.
I will also state now, although not relevant to this site, that along with an amazing collection of action figs, we also have 500+ Barbies (one of my children was a little girl).
If you are wondering why I am always saying "WE" or "OUR"   it is because  I am probably the luckiest guy on this planet. Not only am I blessed enough to have the ability to collect to the extremes that I do, but I am lucky enough to have found a woman who has the same interests as I do.
