I have always been a fan of action figures but did not start collecting until around 2007. I guess my love for action figures could be traced back to my childhood back in the 1980's when Gi Joe was one of the biggest names in toys. I played with a lot of the greats from the 80's and early 90's like He-man, Thundercats, Transformers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Exo Squad, Bravestarr, M.A.S.K., and many more but Gi Joe was my favorite and some of the only toys I kept from my childhood. In my teenage years I was too cool to have action figures I guess but I remember my friends and I would always go through the toy isle and just look. One day I decided to pull out my old Gi Joe figures from the closet and look through them, and of course when doing so I was hit with some really fond memories and nostalgia from the good old days of being a kid. I immediately got on ebay to find some of those joes that didn't survive the great battles I put them in... Once near completing my vintage Gi Joe collection I guess my passion for figures kinda expanded to some of the other toy lines I loved as a kid and then eventually to some of the newer figures that are made today. But even the new figures I buy are still linked to my childhood likes...
