I have been collecting action figures as a young child. I think it all began with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles back in the late 80's to early 90's when I was very small. From there it grew into Batman, then Power Rangers and various other assortments of figures. Then my biggest collecting interest began . . . Star Wars!
About the time they started re-releasing Star Wars on the big screen (late 90's) is when I went full force into collecting a great majority of the various figures in the Power of the Force line. From there I collected some of The Phantom Menace, a small amount of Attack of the Clones, and virtually none of The Revenge of the Sith. By that time I was too cool for action figures and in high school.
Then in the summer of 2011 with the hype of comic book hero movies and the possibilities of many new figures and my newfound interest in wanting to collect again I started buying up loads of Marvel figures. I started in full force buying up Marvel Universe, Captain America: The First Avenger, Iron Man 2, and Thor movie figures. Then I realized that I was also behind on Star Wars and bought up much of Star Wars The Vintage Collection figures, this was all between the orange carded figures and the vintage backed figures, and I also threw in collecting The Clone Wars cartoon series with the blue cards. I also remembered that I liked Batman and had just seen Green Lantern, so I threw in a few of the DC Universe 6 inch figures.
I did this for a good 6 to 7 months before I went over to India for work for a 3 week timeframe back in early 2012, at which point my collecting slowed way down. But about late summer of 2012 I decided that I needed some awesome display pieces and bought up loads of Marvel Legends, Marvel Select, DC Universe, DC Direct, Star Wars, and various video game figures.
That pretty much sums where I'm at in my collecting to date. Enjoy browsing my collection!Lastly, I do sell some of my stuff on eBay. Check me out under the seller ID Bassplaya1986. I'm trying to reduce some of my inventory to eliminate both duplicates and figures I'm finding I don't like as much as I thought I did. Who knows, maybe you can buy a piece of my collection to enjoy.
